Like to join us in our unique Meet 19 ethos of providing free content while promoting your business for free? Why not send us your blog posts, articles, announcements, pictures, videos, podcasts or PDFs? Check out the details and simple requirements in our posting guidelines below
They can be articles, opinion pieces, expert analysis, explanation of service, profiles, announcements, news or a reinvention of the blog post! The key is not to make it direct advertising, as readers will just switch off.
You need to give web users and your potential clients and customers something either new, worthwhile, interesting and engaging or hopefully all of these. Perhaps you can lead it to future offers or series of posts.
The Meet 19 angles
We have three blogs with different intentions: so you can post, for example, announcements in Network News, advice in Experts in the Field or charity assistance or events in Enterprise Support, just say which one you intend the post to go in.
Editing and online marketing
We will proof and edit the writing to professional standard and link it around LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter and include any author tags, links and URLs that help spread the words for you, your organisation and our network.
Posts can be as long as you want - if they are engaging (up to 1,600 words). Generally it's better to write something short and to the point: these won't be jobbing blogger articles, but pithy network materials for associates in local business, prospective clients and customers and beyond. Assuming a paragraph contains three to four sentences, then three to four paragraphs should do it and that's actually more like 500-800 words. Announcements and profiles need only be a few lines.
The subject should really be what you know about in your sector or field of interest. Current topics or perennial or seasonal topics are good: check the calendar for anything coming up that chimes with your business or enterprise pursuit. It's better to be focused on the nub of your post rather than any rants off at a tangent. Sticking to your general theme or title and keeping it shorter will make it easier and quicker for you to write. And any excess writing can be saved for future blogs.
As many as you like preferably web-ready, about 500-600 pixels. As a rule of thumb if your jpegs are enormous just save a reduced size copy with 'Save for Web' in Photoshop (5.5 and above) for web promotion.
Videos, podcasts and PDFs
We can also upload video links, so if you have anything external we can point towards that too. Podcasts and PDFs can also be shared. Again, with this kind of material organise a beginning, middle and end for each entity and where length is concerned brevity is usually better.
Fees and copyright
Ordinarily fees can vary from £30 to £250 an article for proofing, editing, publishing and marketing, depending on length etc, but here on this website there are no fees as we do this in exchange for content. Once we have published feel free to use your article elsewhere, just try not to make it too spammy online as this will undermine the integrity of having it appear as part of a network. Copyright will be retained by the publisher as caretaker of the work and facilitator of the website blogs.
All materials and links to be sent to email@example.com. When we establish contact we can then organise a Dropbox facility to receive pictures if they are too big for the email accounts.
Thanks for reading and happy writing!
