A big thanks to all those Meet19ers who attended our March event. Our April event booking link is now up
We had new arrows, we had a new horn, we had new M19 associates. We had one of our best talks yet with social entrepreneur Jules Siedenburg, who used the gathering almost like a forum for how to monetise his amazing findings. With a great mix of friends and new members we managed to get some freeform networking in before it started (many arrived early) and long after our set finish time: a good sign we feel.
Found out that there were a couple of interesting ways associates are making things work: two arrived for a meeting before the session, another pair talked about creating a list of add-on services they could sell using each other (seeing as their services seemed to overlap), and several M19ers were learning how others created revenue streams and how that could work for their business. Inspiring stuff.
It's also interesting how the Speed Meet messes with people's heads, but that's why we love it and what makes it fun. We also well understand that some are preoccupied with what they are going to pitch or adjusting to speaking to everyone present (a manageable fifteen guaranteed contacts at my count), rather than just a handful of potential leads. There is definitely a volume of conversation and a certain degree of excitement in the air. I'll be sure to write an article about it so associates can have a definitive guide as to how to get the most out of it, it's a been a while coming.
In the meantime tickets are already up for the next event on this our blogsite and also our static parallax site over at www.meet.uk where we have more event protocols. We seem to be 'happening' every last Wednesday now and our next one, unsurprisingly, is on Wednesday 26th April. Looks like we already have a guest speaker in place, a Meet19er and established prolific networker who is coming in to discuss their work with young enterprise.
